Research and Reflection on Shaping the Advantages of the Whole Process to Promote Weihai's Marine Economy to the Forefront

Weihai has natural advantages and huge potential in the development of marine economy. How to better exploit and utilize the traditional advantages, better transform and recreate new advantages, and promote the development of the ocean ahead is a major issue facing Weihai City. This paper starts from the concept of big ocean, systematically and scientifically analyzed the history and current situation of Weihai City in the spatial and resource development and utilization of the ocean, marine science and technology innovation drive, and the mechanism model of marine economic development, puts forward the process and structural problems faced in the process of promoting the high-quality development of marine economy, and deeply analyzes the reasons for the emergence of the problems. Based on the whole process of marine development, this paper innovatively proposes countermeasures and suggestions for consolidating traditional advantages, shaping new advantages and creating a new pattern of marine economic development from both macro and micro levels, which are in line with the actual situation of Weihai City.
