INSURANCE INSTRUMENTS PROMOTE AGRICULTURAL CULTIVATION

Agriculture is one of the basic human activities. To operate this affects many factors. One of the mostimportant risks in agricultural activity is the climate and weather conditions. Drought in recent years,negatively affect the results. On the market there are a number of insurance instruments that allow forthe significant reduction of the negative effects of the drought. Unfortunately, statistical data show thatin Poland in recent years, decreasing the percentage of insured crops. This is, despite the introduction ofsubsidies for insurance companies that paid out compensation in connection with the drought. Reasonsfor this are many, but the main include: the amount of the premium, legal agricultural farms unawarenessand direct support instruments.
