The aim of this study was to evaluate soil properties subjected to four different handling conditions on a mountain farm in the province of Cienfuegos. The soils dedicated to growing coffee, showed higher levels in the physical, chemical and agrochemical studied indicators and also showed relatively higher values to other dealings in biological indicators in macro and mesofauna. The opposite happened to the ground under the management applied to various crops. Banana soil presented intermediate levels of the physical, chemical and agrochemical studied indicators with respect to coffee and vegetable crops, as well as intermediate biological indicators of the macro and the mesofauna.
