Under the journal’ heading Restituiri it is reproduced the paper Statistica Pădurilor Statului/Statistics of State Forests elaborated in 1906 by the Ministry of Agriculture. It is the second paper of this type, after the one elaborated in 1899, and presents the state of forests on the Kingdom of Romania inside the borders from the end of the 19th century and beginning 20th century. In contrast to the first inventory of forests that presents exclusively statistical data, with tables, in 240 pages, the present paper containes data presented at the country and counties levels, accompanied by an analysis and an interpretation of these data. In the first part of the paper, entitled General Statistics, there are presented and analysed a series of data concerning the entire forest area of the Kingdom of Romania. In the second part there are presented the environmental framework of the country (geology, relief, hydrographic system, climate, winds) in relation to the forests, and tree species and shrubs that are present in forest flora of the country.
