This study summarized the current status and problems of underdeveloped regions policies in Korea, and paradigm change in Korea's underdeveloped regions policies and revitalization project were identified. As an idea for a more balanced development of the nation, the revitalization project was expended during 6 years in two 3-year phases from 2005 to 2010 for the underdeveloped regions. In order to identify, the problems of exiting underdeveloped regions policy are analyzed and the case of Ha-dong country is examined.
