This study attempted nutrition and meal management intervention based on the 'Dietary Reference Intakes for Japanese' in an elementary school in Kunitomi town in the Miyazaki Prefecture. We studied new methods based on nutrition and meal management means that the school had been working on since before the present study. Accordingly, we successfully proposed a nutrition and meal management method posing smaller workload on the dietitian responsible for planning the menu and on the cooking staff.
