To establish a stable paddy rice production technique under high-temperature ripening conditions, we examined the effects of additional fertilization after panicle formation stage and the fertilization system using controlled-release fertilizers on the occurrence of cracked rice kernels, brown rice yield, and eating quality. The results demonstrate that adding nitrogen fertilization at 1 to 2 kg/10 ares during panicle formation stage and the heading stage as well as applying controlled-release fertilizers with a combination of a readily available fertilizer and a coated fertilizer can reduce the occurrence of cracked rice kernels while maintaining the same level of brown rice yield and quality.
