The questionnaire includes assessment of production potential, input use, household market participation, marketing of pulses products, transportation and associated cost, and marketing potentials perceived by the producers. For the consumer survey primary data was gathered using a structured questionnaire from pulse crops consumers in three rural markets. A total of 120 consumers were selected using random sampling procedures and interviewed about their household characteristics, pulse consumption pattern, desired pulse grains attributes and their major food related expenses.
