Production in the agrarian field, despite its specific features, is associated with great risks. Recent industrialization and technological changes of the field, climate changes have made the field even more risky. For this reason, the demand for insurance protection of the agricultural sector has increased over time. The article examines the state of agricultural insurance in Azerbaijan. The demand for insurance protection of the agrarian sector has been substantiated, and the current situation of these issues in the country has been analyzed. The insurance protection programs carried out by the Agrarian Insurance Fund cover the crop and livestock sectors of agriculture. insurance of agricultural animals and insurance of agricultural crops are carried out in the agrarian area. 41 types of agricultural products, agricultural animals: large and small horned cattle are covered by agricultural insurance in the field of agriculture of the country. The size of the agricultural insurance market is increasing year by year.
