Risks of the Aleutian disease spread in American mink farms | Риски распространения алеутской болезни на звероводческих хозяйствах по разведению Американской норки

The high spreading rate of viral disease, in particular, the Aleutian disease, in fur farms for the industrial breeding of American mink in the world, the difficulties and low efficiency of the health improvement of fur farms require a new approach to control these processes. One of the promising approaches may be the creation of an express-score assessment of the infection state with the pathogen of the animal farm itself and the main ways of spreading the pathogen within it. At the first stage of a structured assessment of the infection of the animal farm, it is necessary to identify critical points of pathogen accumulation. In this regard, the work purpose was a comparative analysis of the presence of the Aleutian mink disease virus in different technical zones of two fur farms specializing in industrial mink breeding. Using polymerase chain reaction (PCR), the virus was under revealing in washes from the surfaces of technical equipment, in bedding, wool, feed residues, and faeces. As a result, data were obtained indicating that the virus of Aleutian disease in both fur farms is present in the freezer, the feed room, and the beginning and middle of a number of sheds. It is suggested to use the identified sample collection points to monitor infection spreading within specific animal farms, followed by determination of the dose load of the pathogen. It is necessary to develop rapid score assessment, forecast the rate of infection with the pathogen, and the selection of mink health improvement methods.

Высокая скорость распространения вирусных заболеваний, в частности, Алеутской болезни, в зверохозяйствах по промышленному разведению американской норки в мире, трудности и низкая эффективность оздоровления зверохозяйств требуют нового подхода контроля этих процессов. Перспективна разработка системы балльной экспресс-оценки состояния инфицированности патогеном самого зверохозяйства и основных путей распространения в нем патогена. На первом этапе структурированной оценки инфицированности зверохозяйства необходимо выявить критические точки накопления патогена. Целью работы был сравнительный анализ присутствия вируса Алеутской болезни норок с использованием полимеразной цепной реакции (ПЦР) в разных технических зонах двух зверохозяйств, специализирующихся по промышленному разведению норок: в смывах с поверхностей технического оборудования, в подстилках, пухе, остатках корма и фекалиях. Полученные данные свидетельствуют, что вирус Алеутской болезни в обоих зверохозяйствах присутствует в морозильной камере, кормокухне, начале и середине ряда шедов. Предлагается использование выявленных точек сбора проб для мониторинга динамики инфицированности конкретных зверохозяйств с последующим определением дозовой нагрузки патогеном в целях разработки их балльной экспресс-оценки, прогноза темпов заражения патогеном и подбора методов оздоровления.
