Mamak, Ilayda
In the paper industry, where recycled paper can be considered as raw material, in order to ensure the continuity of recycling, the challenges brought by the use of recycled paper should be analysed in the best way and tried to be solved. One of the major problems associated with the use of recycled paper in the paper production process is the formation of sticky compounds. Sticky formation is usually due to adhesives, inks used in cardboard boxes, or compounds used for paper coating purposes. In paper production, which is a continuous process, the entry of such adhesive substances into the paper machine through various means causes many problems, especially paper breaks that cause production loss. For this reason, it is of great importance to determine the factors that cause the formation of sticky compounds and the removal method, especially in paper production processes using recycled paper. In this study, it is aimed to consider the structure, amount and control methods of the sticky substances, which are the factors that cause the sticky substance formation problem in the paper production process.
