2023

The restrictive effects of global climate change, the effects of which we are starting to feel more and more, are putting increasing pressure on living things. This pressure also poses a serious obstacle to the sustainability of urban open green spaces. Ensuring sustainability in urban open green spaces brings with it the selection of landscape (design) plants with high ecological tolerance, as well as the analysis of landscape plant taxa in existing areas. In this context, in this study, in which the tolerance status of the landscape plants used in the design of “Altınpark” in Altındağ district of Ankara province, against the stress factors they are exposed to, is evaluated, it is seen that 192 taxa determined are in 43 families and taxa are 90.66% air pollution, 65.45% wind, it was determined that they tolerate 35.33% salt and 63.83% drought tolerance. In addition, it was observed that 54.69% of the taxa had moderate water consumption. In this regard, the selection of design plants with high ecological tolerance is very important in open green space designs.
