粉红背鹈鹕的饲养与繁殖

为了研究粉红背鹈鹕的自然繁殖情况，将5只（2♂3♀）成体粉红背鹈鹕饲养在内有小岛的1500 m2湖中，通过饲料选择与搭配、投喂方式、行为观察、巢材选择等饲养手段，辅助粉红背鹈鹕的自然繁殖。结果显示：2017年粉红背鹈鹕共产卵3枚，其中弃卵1枚。平均卵重量约17472 g，长径约9274 mm，短径约5716 mm。粉红背鹈鹕幼雏出壳后不会吃食，必须由亲鸟用撕碎的肉条或乳糜哺育幼雏。30—90日龄幼鸟发育较快，躯干发育、喙部发育明显。100日龄能短距离飞翔。
