A partir de poblaciones homogéneas de Ceratitis capitata Wied.,sometidas en laboratorio a distintas condiciones ambientales de temperatura y humedad relativa se han estimado los parámetros de hipérbolas del tipo de Blunck-Bodenheimer correspondientes a las distintas fases del desarrollo del insecto. En particular la hipérbola del periodo adult-adulto permite determinar el número mínimo de generaciones anuales del insecto, conociendo únicamente la temperatura.
Show more [+] Less [-]From laboratory experiments carried out with homogeneous populations of Ceratitis capitata Wied. at different conditions of temperature and relative humidity, we have estimated the parameters of the Blunck-Bodenheimer´s type hyperbolas corresponding to several stages and developmental periods of this species. In particular, the hyperbola of the adult-adult biological cycle and the local temperature allowed us to determine the minimum number of Medfly´s generations per year.
