We will examine successively the differences between populations growing under different thermal conditions, when an opportunity for genetic differentiation is offered, and the somations or modifications resulting from phenogenesis of equivalent genotypes under different temperatures. Then, biological mechanisms responsible for the changes and their adaptive value will be briefly discussed, with their implications in evolution. [...]
