Show more [+] Less [-][EN] An improvement to the Kjeldahl method for determination of total or dissolved nitrogen in sea water is described; the interferences by ammonia, nitrites and nitrates have been eliminated. In this method no special device is wanted and the time spent for every determination is about two hours but it is possible to carry out several analysis together. The sample volume used is 100 ml and the mean deviation is ±0,5 micromoles of nitrogen per liter (±0,07 mg/l)
