Show more [+] Less [-][EN] During the period 15 August to 18 September, 1971, an oceanograhic expedition was carried out on board the R/V Cornide de Saavedra, off the northwestern coast of Africa (Margalef, 1971). During the expedition a number of neuston samples were collected by usin the David net, which consists of an upper as well as a lower bucket. The marine insect Halobates was collected in six of the neuston samples from five stations. [...]
