Zum Stand des Aktionsprogramms Ambrosia | The German Action Programme Ambrosia

Die vom Julius Kühn-Institut, Bundesforschungsinstitut für Kulturpflanzen (JKI), koordinierte interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgruppe Ambrosia hatte zu Beginn des Jahres 2007 ein Aktionsprogramm Ambrosia beschlossen, um der weiteren Ausbreitung dieser gebietsfremden Art entgegen zu wirken. Nach dem ersten Jahr werden erste Ergebnisse vorgestellt. Ein deutschlandweites Monitoring hat gezeigt, dass überwiegend kleine Bestände bzw. Einzelpflanzen gefunden wurden. Größere Bestände finden sich vor allem im Süden, in großen Städten und in der Niederlausitz. Viele Bestände wurden im vergangenen Jahr bereits bekämpft. Um die weitere Ausbreitung der Art und damit die Zunahme der unerwünschten Auswirkungen zu verhindern, ist es nötig, das Aktionsprogramm auch in Zukunft weiter zu führen.

The “interdisciplinary working group Ambrosia” convened by the Julius Kühn-Institute, Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants, has launched an Action Programme Ambrosia early in 2007 in order to prevent further spread of this alien plant that can be an agricultural weed and causes allergies. First results are presented: A nation-wide monitoring has shown that most stands of this plant are small. Larger stands are mostly found in the South, in large cities and in SW Brandenburg. Management and control have taken place and led to the destruction of many ragweed plants. In order to be successful, however, the action programme has to be continued in the near future.
