Eiqualitätsmerkmale vor und nach einer durch Mauser bedingten Legepause sowie in Abhängigkeit einiger anderer Faktoren bei New Hampshirehennen

Von 168 New Hampshirehennen wurden, je nachdem, wann die einzelnen Hennen mauserten und damit nach 12- bis 18monatiger kontinuierlicher Legetätigkeit eine Legepause einlegten, sowohl vor als auch nach der Legepause je 4 bis 6 Eier je Henne auf die Eiqualitätsmerkmale „Bruchfestigkeit der Eischale" und „Eiklarindex" untersucht. In der Bruchfestigkeit zeigten die Hennen gar keine Reaktion auf die Legepause. Im Gesamtdurchschnitt war dieses Qualitätsmerkmal mit 3,3 kg nach der Legepause genau so hoch wie vor dieser. Nur solche Hennen, deren Bruchfestigkeit vor der Legepause auf einem Niveau von 2,9 kg und darunter lag, hatten einen Qualitätsanstieg zu verzeichnen. Die Länge der Legepause, die im Durchschnitt aller Hennen 47 Tage betrug und sehr streute, hatte keinen Einfluß auf die Raten der Qualitätsveränderung im Zuge der Mauser. Der Eiklarindex lag nach der Legepause mit 78,4 vT um 16,5 Einheiten höher als vor der Legepause. Dieser Qualitätsanstieg erwies sich als hoch signifikant. Wie bei der Bruchfestigkeit zeigte sich auch beim Eiklarindex eine starke Abhängigkeit der Verbesserungsraten vom Qualitätsniveau vor der Legepause. Ob die Legepause 30, 60 oder 90 Tage währte, war dagegen ohne Einfluß auf das Ausmaß der Qualitätsverbesserung.

English. From 168 New Hampshire hens 4 eggs per hen were measured for breaking strength of the egg shell and for albumen index immediately before the hens started moulting. At this time the hens were laying since 12 to 18 months. When the hens started to lay again after the moult — under which period they did not lay any egg — further 6 eggs per hen were measured for the same characteristics. With respect to the breaking strength, the hens did not show any reaction upon the laying pause, i.e., breaking strength was 3,3 kg before as well as after the laying pause. Only those hens which had a breaking strength of 2,9 kg and less before the laying pause showed a slight improvement. The correlation between the level of breaking strength before the laying pause and the rate of improvement was r = —0,52***. The length of the laying pause was 47 days in the average with a great variation. But this variation had no influence on the rate of improvement. The albumen index increased from 61,9 to 78,4 ‰ in the eggs laid before and after the laying pause respectively. The improvement was highly significant and the rate of improvement correlated negatively with the level of the albumen index measured before the laying pause (r = — 0,40***). Against that, the length of the laying pause had no influence on the improvement.

De 168 poules New Hampshire, suivant leur entrée en mue et la pause de ponte succédante après une période de ponte continue de 12 à 18 mois, on a examiné avant et après la pause de ponte 4 à 6 œufs au sujet de la solidité de la coquille et de l'indice du blanc d'œuf. Quant à la solidité de la coquille on ne put observer aucune influence de la pause de ponte. En moyenne totale cet indice de qualité était après la pause de ponte exactement égal à celui d'avant la pause avec 3,3 kg. Uniquement pour les individus, dont la solidité de la coquille avant la pause de ponte était à un niveau de 2,9 kg et en dessous, on put constater une amélioration de la qualité. La longueur de la pause de ponte — en moyenne pour toutes les poules 47 jours avec grands écartements — n'avait aucune influence sur les changements de la qualité. L'indice du blanc d'œuf après la pause de ponte — 78,4‰ — était supérieur de 16,5 unités à celui d'avant la pause. Cette amélioration de la qualité était donc très significative. Comme pour la solidité de la coquille on constata aussi pour l'indice du blanc d'œuf une dépendance importante de l'amélioration du niveau de la qualité avant la pause de ponte. Par contre la longueur de la pause de Ponte — 30, 60 ou 90 jours — était sans influence sur le degré de l'amélioration de la qualité.
