Pre-planting inoculation with endophytes as a way to manage seed productivity and quality of healthy tubers of potato | Предпосадочная инокуляция эндофитами как способ управления семенной продуктивностью и качеством оздоровленных клубней картофеля

The effect of inoculation of hydroponically-grown healthy seed mini-tubers and seed tubers of superelite reproduction with endophytic bacteria Bacillus subtilis 10-4 on the crop performance, the content of photosynthetic pigments, and the resistance of plants and tubers to diseases during the growing season and harvesting was studied in the conditions of the Pre-Ural steppe zone of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It was established that bacteria colonized tubers, roots, stems, and leaves successfully, exerting a positive effect on plant metabolism during the growing season. A comparative analysis showed that inoculation of mini-tubers and superelite with B. subtilis 10-4 ensured the setting more tubers per bush (by 35%) compared to the control, while performance increased by 68% and 17%, respectively. It was revealed an increase in the content of photosynthetic pigments chlorophyll (Chl) a, Chl b, and carotenoids (Car) in bacterial inoculated plants grown from mini-tubers and superelite, compared to the control in the second half of the growing season: in the germination phase, the sum of Chl a + Chl b exceeded the control by 19% and 11%; in the budding phase – by 5% and 14%; in the beginning of flowering – by 50% and 43%; and the end of flowering – by 27% and 53%, respectively. These data indicate a positive effect of inoculation on the intensity and duration of the assimilation apparatus. Pre-planting inoculation of seeds with B. subtilis reduced the prevalence of potato diseases during the growing and harvesting seasons: Alternaria blight by 1.5-1.8 times in the experiment with super-elite tubers and by 1.5 times with mini-tubers, silver scab by 3.5 and 3 times, dry rot (Fusarium) – 4.8 and 2.5 times, respectively. At the same time, inoculation of mini-tubers with endophytes ensured a 3-fold reduction in the species diversity of the pathogenic complex of micromycetes in tubers of the first generation, including the absence of a dangerous pathogen of the genus Fusarium.

В условиях Предуральской степной зоны Республики Башкортостан изучено влияние инокуляции семенных оздоровленных гидропонных мини-клубней и клубней репродукции суперэлита бактериями – эндофитами Bacillus subtilis 10-4 на продуктивность и содержание фотосинтетических пигментов, а также на устойчивость растений и клубней к болезням в период вегетации и уборки. Установлено, что бактерии успешно колонизировали клубни, корни, стебли и листья, оказывая положительное влияние на метаболизм растений в течение вегетации. Сравнительный анализ показал, что инокуляция мини-клубней и суперэлиты B. subtilis 10-4 обеспечила закладку большего количества клубней на один куст по сравнению с контролем на 35%, при этом продуктивность увеличилась на 68 и 17% соответственно. Выявлено повышение по сравнению с контролем содержания фотосинтетических пигментов (Хл а, Хл b и Кар) инокулированных B. subtilis 10-4 растений из мини-клубней и суперэлиты во второй половине вегетации: в фазе всходов сумма хлорофиллов (а + b) превышала контроль на 19 и 11%, в фазе бутонизации – на 5 и 14%, в начале цветения – на 50 и 43%, окончания цветения – на 27 и 53% соответственно, что свидетельствует о положительном влиянии инокуляции на интенсивность и продолжительность работы ассимиляционного аппарата. Предпосадочная инокуляция клубней B. subtilis 10-4 снижала распространенность болезней картофеля в период вегетации и уборки: альтернариозом в 1,5-1,8 раза в опыте с клубнями суперэлита и в 1,5 раза – с мини-клубнями, паршой серебристой – в 3,5 и 3 раза, сухой гнилью (фузариозом) – в 4,8 и 2,5 раза соответственно. При этом инокуляция мини-клубней эндофитами обеспечивала трехкратное снижение видового разнообразия патогенного комплекса микромицетов на клубнях первого поколения, в т.ч. отсутствие опасного возбудителя рода Fusarium.
