Limit line "average diameter – average distance between trees" in stands | Предельная линия "средний диаметр – среднее расстояние между деревьями"

English. The degree of space occupancy with woody plants has a certain limit associated with biological characteristics of the trees and the soil fertility level. The criterion for determining the improvement felling intensity in Russia is the value of relative completeness, whereas abroad "stocking index" is used. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the limit line "average diameter – average distance between trees" in stands of the main forest-forming species according to the data of long-term observations on permanent sample plots. The materials for the study were measurement data on permanent sample plots in the Forest Experimental Station of the Russian State Agrarian University – Timiryazev Moscow Agricultural Academy. There were selected the sample plots where the sums of the cross-sectional areas reached the maximum values once during the life of the stand, as well as where the sums of the cross-sectional areas reached the maximum twice. To verify the validity of the regression line passing through origin of coordinates, a program for calculating the equation of a straight line with an intercept term was used. The hypothesis of direct proportionality of the mean diameter of forest stands to the mean distance between trees is confirmed, while the dependence of the proportionality coefficient on the initial number of trees is not observed. In stands with maximum sums of cross-sectional areas, the ratio of the maximum mean diameter to the mean distance between trees is close to the constant. It serves as a good indicator of the degree of space occupancy and can be used in production and technical calculations.

Russian. Степень заполненности пространства древесными растениями имеет некоторый предел, связанный с их биологическими особенностями и уровнем плодородия почв. Критерием для определения интенсивности рубок ухода в России служит значение относительной полноты, тогда как за рубежом используют "индекс густоты древостоев". Цель исследований – обоснование предельной линии "Средний диаметр – среднее расстояние между деревьями" в древостоях основных лесообразующих пород по данным долговременных наблюдений на постоянных пробных площадях. Материалом для исследований являлись данные обмеров на постоянных пробных площадях в Лесной опытной даче Российского государственного аграрного университета – МСХА имени К.А. Тимирязева. Были выбраны пробные площади, на которых суммы площадей сечений достигали максимальных значений один раз в течение жизни древостоя, а также где суммы площадей сечений дважды достигали максимума. Для проверки обоснованности прохождения линии регрессии через начало координат использовалась программа расчетов уравнения прямой линии со свободным членом. Подтверждена гипотеза о прямой пропорциональности среднего диаметра древостоев среднему расстоянию между деревьями, при этом зависимость коэффициента пропорциональности от начального числа деревьев не наблюдается. В древостоях с максимальными суммами площадей сечений отношение максимального среднего диаметра к среднему расстоянию между деревьями близко к константе. Оно служит хорошим показателем степени заполненности пространства и может быть использовано в производственно-технических расчетах.
