Chinology studies the breeding, maintenance and training of dogs, as well as the improvement of dog breeds. While it is assumed that the domestication of the dog began many thousands of years ago, there is undoubted evidence that before ten thousand years ago the dog was a domesticated animal. The cave inscriptions in numerous caves, dating back to the Upper Palaeolithic, and therefore more than 10,000 years old, depict people hunting, accompanied by dogs, harassing and then catching game. In Romania, hunting dogs are divided into 4 groups of use, namely: pacer or hounds, sniffer dogs, stalking and hound dogs and, last but not least, dogs for tracking wounded game.
