Selection of clinical strains of staphylococci for obtaining veterinary-therapeutic immune serum.
2023
The variety of animal staphylococcal infections (staphylococci, mastitis, pyodermas, complicated wound infections, etc.), the increasing resistance of the pathogen to the main treatment means - antibiotics, requires the development of modern drugs. Taking into account the mentioned, it is promising to make anti-toxic and anti-microbe cellular antigen serum, which requires staphylococcal immunogen for immunization of producers. The selection of staphylococcal strains was based on the study of morphological, cultural properties and enzymatic activity. 17 clinical and laboratory strains of staphylococci were selected for H2S production; 12 strains (St. aureus 7 and St. epidermidis 5 strains) with high plasmocoagulation, proteolytic, hemolytic gelatinization, milk peptonization and mannit disintegration properties. Due to their stable properties, it is envisaged to use them for immunization of productive animals. Tab. 2, Ref. 5.
