Paramphistomatosis of large ruminants, its prevalence in georgia and its impact on the quality of animal products.
2023
Paramphistomatosis is an acute and chronic invasive disease of cattle and small cattle, as well as wild ruminants. It causes significant economic damage to animal husbandry, which is manifested in the mortality of juvenile animals and decreased productivity in adult animals. Its epizootology and countermeasures are relatively well studied, however, the veterinary-sanitary quality of animal products, especially meat and offal, obtained from cattle infected with paramphistomosis is less studied and this issue is very urgent.
