Evaluacion de la aptitud combinatoria de algunos progenitores de tomate (lycopersicon esculenturn mill) en base a caracteres de rendimiento y calidad.

"Para los diferentes componentes de rendimiento y calidad fueron muy importantes tanto los efectos aditivos en su mayoría así como los no .aditivos. Rendimiento total, comerciable en toneladas/ha., número de frutos calidad exportación consumo nacional, firmeza de los frutos kg/cm2 y grosor de pericarpio, mostraron efectos aditivos y para número de 16culos estos efectos fueron no aditivos, sin embargo, para grados - brix fueron tan importantes los aditivos como no aditivos. En cuanto a progenitores, TC1006 y TC1004 mostraron tener efectos aditivos para la mayoría de los caracteres y TC1001 TC1003, no siendo así por TC1007 y TC1008, quienes mostraron tener efectos no aditivos en la mayoría de los caracteres. Los híbridos que presentaron mayor porcentajes de heterosis y heterobeltiosis para rendimiento comerciable/ha. fueron: TC1005 x TC1008 y TC1002 x TC1008. Los progenitores con buena Aptitud Combinatoria General (lí) fueron: TC1008, TC1006, TC1007, TC1004 y TC1005. Los progenitores que mostraron tener Aptitud combinatoria Específica (Síj) en una gran mayoría de sus caracteres fueron: TC1008, TC1007, TC1003 y TC1001."
