Tolerancia del maíz a marchitez permanente y sus relaciones internas del agua bajo diferentes periodos de sequía.

"Se estudió al híbrido de maíz AN-310, a sus progenitores y al AN-430 con los objetivos de observar su comportamiento bajo diferentes intensidades y períodos de sequía, evaluar la tolerancia a marchitez permanente y su heredabilidad y estudiar las relaciones internas de agua bajo diferentes períodos de sequía. El experimento de tolerancia a MP reveló que en base a la sobrevivencia, la linea AN2 fue la más tolerante, AN-310 y AN2O fueron medianamente susceptibles y AN20xAN2 y VS-201M medianamente resistentes; en tanto que AN-430 fue el genotipo de mayor susceptibilidad a MP y el de mayor tiempo requerido para su recuperación. Respecto a la heredabilidad, se observó que fue muy base a progenies y progenitores, y siempre variable en fue menor que la biztestígo, que incluyó todos los genotipos evaluados. Los resultados de las relaciones internas de agua, mostraron que AN-310 Y VS-201M fueron los mejores genotipos (F. < 0,05) , tanto respecto al potencial hídrico como con respecto al tiempo. Se observó también que la elongación de hoja y la transpiración se afectaron fuertemente a un potencial hídrico de -6 bares y cesaron a -8 bares; que fue cuando se registró un CRA promedio entre genotipos de 38 por ciento."
