Study of the relation between the main pests of orchard trees and their natural enemies with mathematical modelling.

The methodological basis of biological systems modeling is system modeling and the fundamental principles of the development of biological systems themselves. The indicators for five selected biological systems, which are f special importance for the orchards of Georgia are discussed. These include: 1) the heather lady beetle - the China scale (Chilocorus bipustulatus - Quadraspidiotus perniciosus), 2) the wooly aphid parasite - the wooly apple aphid (Aphelinus mali - Eriosoma lanigerum), 3) small wasps - the codling moth (Trichogramma - Carpocapsa pomonella), 4) the heather ladybird – the olive scale (Chilocorus bipustulatus - Parlatoria Oleae), and 5) pea and been weevils - the European red mite (Amblyseius - Panonychus ulmi). The aim of the study is the research with those models of approximation of biosystems, which adequately reflect the natural system themselves. Ranges of change in the number of species are defined for each system. Tab. 6, Fig. 15, Ref. 8.
