Selection and genetic parameters of productivity of sheep (Ovis aries) of the Trans-Baikal breed of the Khangil type | Селекционно-генетические параметры продуктивности овец (Ovis aries) забайкальской породы хангильского типа

The study was conducted to investigate the selection and genetic parameters of productivity of fine-wool sheep of the Trans-Baikal breed of the Khangil type to increase selection process efficiency. The relationships between the traits under selection (live weight, wool yield) and the exterior and constitutional features were determined using correlation and regression analysis. Of the assessed parameters, the greatest variability was observed for body weight (11.9…19.4%), wool yield (9.9…11.1%) and latitudinal linear measurements (8.2…12.4%). According to the constitution indices, rams differed from ewes by greater leg length, better chest development, stronger skeleton, while ewes were characterized by a more stretched, compact and massive body with a better developed back part. Live weight and wool yield of rams were more closely associated with linear measurements than those of ewes. Live weight of both males and females correlated more strongly with chest girth (respectively +0.916, p less than 0.001and +0.740, p less than 0.001), wool yield - with chest depth in rams (+0.737, p less than 0.001) and hip width in ewes (+0.469, p less than 0.001). In studied rams, with an increase in the hip width measurement by 1 cm, it is possible to predict an increase in live weight by 5.5 kg (r = 0.839; p less than 0.001), in ewes with an increase in chest girth by 1 cm - by 1.04 kg (r = 0.740; p less than 0.001). The analysis of paired regression equations shows that the live weight of ewes under study is largely determined by the linear measurement of the chest girth: in rams - 83.9%, in ewes - 54.7%, the influence of other factors accounts for 16.1 and 45.3%, respectively. In the multivariate regression models, 94.3 and 74.7% of the change in body weight is explained by the effect of a complex of linear measurements, and the remaining share is attributed to the influence of other factors.

Исследование проводили с целью изучения селекционно-генетических параметров продуктивности тонкорунных овец забайкальской породы хангильского типа (ЗТХ) для повышения эффективности селекционного процесса. Определяли взаимосвязи между селекционируемыми признаками (живая масса, настриг шерсти) и экстерьерно-конституциональными особенностями методом корреляционно-регрессионного анализа. Из оцениваемых показателей наибольшей вариабельностью выделялись масса тела (11,9…19,4%), настриг шерсти (9,9…11,1%) и широтные линейные промеры (8,2…12,4%). По индексам телосложения бараны отличались от овцематок большей длинноногостью, лучшим развитием груди, более крепким костяком, тогда как овцематки характеризовались более растянутым, сбитым и массивным телом с лучше развитой задней частью. Живая масса и настриг шерсти у баранов были более тесно сопряженными с линейными промерами, чем у овцематок. Живая масса как у самцов, так и у самок сильнее коррелировала с обхватом груди (соответственно +0,916, р меньше 0,001 и +0,740, р меньше 0,001), настриг шерсти - с глубиной груди у баранов (+0,737, р меньше 0,001) и шириной в маклоках у овцематок (+0,469, р меньше 0,001). У баранов ЗТХ при увеличении промера ширины в маклоках на 1 см можно прогнозировать повышение живой массы на 5,50 кг (r = 0,839; p меньше 0,001), у овцематок при увеличении обхвата груди на 1 см - на 1,04 кг (r = 0,740; p меньше 0,001). Анализ парных уравнений регрессии свидетельствует, что живая масса овец ЗТХ в большей степени обусловлена линейным промером обхвата груди: у баранов - 83,9%, у овцематок - 54,7%, на влияние остальных факторов приходится 16,1 и 45,3% соответственно. В моделях многофакторной регрессии 94,3 и 74,7% изменения массы тела объясняется воздействием комплекса линейных промеров, а оставшаяся доля отводится на влияние других факторов.
