O estudo da distribuição geográfica de espécies hospedeiras de cigarrinhas-das-pastagens facilita o desenvolvimento de estratégias de monitoramento e controle dessas pragas. O objetivo desse trabalho é reportar a associação de Mahanarva spectabilis (Distant) em Urochloa brizantha cv. Piatã no estado Acre. Esse cercopídeo é um inseto sugador de graminícolas e foi registrado no estado do Acre apenas em 2021, associada a Urochloa brizantha cv. Xaraés. Devido ao registro de M. spectabilis no Acre ser relativamente recente, faz-se necessário estudos que visem conhecer sua distribuição geográfica, níveis de dano, sazonalidade de infestação e níveis de resistência de cultivares de pastagens nas condições edafoclimáticas do Estado. Studying the geographic distribution of host species of spittlebugs facilitates the development of monitoring and control strategies for these pests. The aim of this work is to report the association of Mahanarva spectabilis (Distant) on Urochloa brizantha cv. Piatã in the state of Acre, Brazil. This cercopid is a grass-sucking insect and was registered in the state of Acre only in 2021, associated with Urochloa brizantha cv. Xaraés. Due to the relatively recent record of M. spectabilis in the state of Acre, it is necessary to carry out studies aimed at understanding your geographical distribution, levels of damage, seasonality of infestation and resistance levels of pasture cultivars in the state?s edaphoclimatic conditions.
