Ecología a pie de patio (EPP)

El proyecto " Ecología a pie de patio (EPP)" concluye la trilogía de tres proyectos de aprendizaje-servicio iniciada el curso 2019-20 por el proyecto: “ApS-INFRAVERDE: PROPUESTAS PARA LA PREVENCIÓN DE INUNDACIONES, MEJORA DE LA EFICIENCIA ENERGÉTICA Y DEL BIENESTAR URBANO EN VÍAS URBANAS, EDIFICIOS Y VIVIENDAS CON BAJO NIVEL DE RECURSOS MEDIANTE EL EMPLEO DE CUBIERTAS VERDES EN EL MUNICIPIO DE MADRID” y desarrollada por el proyecto: “INFRAVERDE-2022/23". Esta nueva experiencia ha servido para implementar una nueva acción de Aprendizaje-Servicio con estudiantes de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid en el entorno escolar del CEIP Fernández Moratín del Municipio de Madrid. El objetivo del proyecto consistió en una serie de actividades a través de soluciones basadas en la naturaleza en el entorno del patio de colegio, mediante el diseño de dos jardines verticales construidos con materiales reciclados junto al ecohuerto escolar del Centro, con la intención de integrar elementos, como palets reciclados, y plantas aportadas por las familias de los escolares. Los estudiantes, que previamente recibieron unos talleres de formación sobre sostenibilidad, soluciones basadas en la naturaleza y economía circular, participaron en el proceso de montaje y posterior mantenimiento de dichos jardines verticales. Estos talleres y actividades socioeducativas promueven el aumento de la concienciación ciudadana medioambiental por parte de todos los grupos participantes (escolares, profesores del colegio y familias). Abstract The project “Ecología a pie de patio (EPP)” concludes the trilogy of three service-learning projects initiated in the 2019-20 academic year by the project: “ApS-INFRAVERDE: PROPOSALS FOR FLOOD PREVENTION, ENERGY EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT AND URBAN WELL-BEING IN URBAN ROADS, BUILDINGS AND HOUSES WITH LOW LEVEL OF RESOURCES THROUGH THE USE OF GREEN ROOFS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF MADRID” and developed by the project: ‘INFRAVERDE-2022/23’. This new experience has served to implement a new Service-Learning action with students from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in the school environment of CEIP Fernández Moratín in the Municipality of Madrid. The objective of the project consisted of a series of activities through nature-based solutions in the schoolyard environment, through the design of two vertical gardens built with recycled materials next to the school's eco-garden, with the intention of integrating elements such as recycled pallets and plants provided by the students' families. The students, who previously received training workshops on sustainability, nature-based solutions and circular economy, participated in the process of assembly and subsequent maintenance of these vertical gardens. These workshops and socio-educational activities promote increased environmental awareness among all participating groups (schoolchildren, schoolteachers and families).
