Estimativa da variância para a qualidade espermática de touros Nelore com degeneração testicular experimental.

RESUMO - O objetivo deste estudo foi estimar os efeitos dos períodos pré e pós-indução da degeneração testicular sobre o espermiograma de touros Nelore. Foram selecionados quatro touros da raça Nelore, com idade entre dois e três anos e clinicamente sadios. A degeneração testicular experimental foi feita com base na insulação testicular por cinco dias. O sêmen de cada touro foi colhido por eletroejaculação e avaliado antes (P0) e depois, 7 (P7), 14 (P14) e 21 dias (P21) após a retirada do insulto testicular. A indução da degeneração testicular foi efetiva para os quatro touros tratados. No P7 não foram detectadas alterações no quadro seminal, com exceção do vigor (4,5 ±0,28 x 3,5 ±0,06 para P0 e P7, respectivamente, p<0,05). As diferenças mais marcantes foram evidencias nos defeitos de cabeça e, especialmente, no percentual de fragmentação nuclear. A proporção de espermatozóides com esta alteração foi superior aos defeitos de cabeça (P14, 31,5 ±1,42% x 9,5 ±0,90%; P21, 27,4 ±1,63% x 17,4 ±2,31%), sugerindo que estas alterações podem estar presentes mesmo sem alterações no formato da cabeça espermática e, portanto, não identificadas nos exames convencionais. Conclui-se com estes resultados que os defeitos de cabeça aos 21 dias após o insulto testicular representam a maior proporção dos defeitos morfológicos, porém os níveis de fragmentação nuclear são expressivos e podem ocorrer antes mesmo das alterações de forma ou tamanho da cabeça espermática. ABSTRACT - The objective of this study was estimate the effects of the periods before and after the induction of the testis degeneration on the epermiogram of Nelore bulls. Four bulls were selected, with age between two and three years and clinically healthy. The experimental testis degeneration was made by insulation (insulation of the scrotum) for five days. Semen of each bull was collected by eletroejaculation and evaluated before (P0) and seven (P7), 14 (P14) and 21 days (P21) after the retreat of the testicular insult. The induction of the testis degeneration was effective for all treated bulls. In P7, were not (p>0,0) detected alterations in the seminal profile, except for the vigor (4,5 ±0,28 x 3,5 ±0,06 for P0 and P7, respectively). The higher differences were evidenced in head's defects and, especially, in the nuclear fragmentation percentile. The proportion of spermatozoa with this alteration was higher to head's defects (P14, 31,5 ±1,42% x 9,5 ±0,90%; P21, 27,4 ±1,63% x 17,4 ±2,31%), suggesting that these alterations can be present even without alterations in the format of the sperm head and, therefore, not identified in conventional exams. It is concluded with these results that head's defects at 21 days after the testicular insult represent the most proportion of the morphologic defects, however the levels of nuclear fragmentation are expressive and they can emerge before of the form alterations or size of the sperm head.
