Uso de abacá (Musa textilis) para la elaboración de textiles en el Ecuador

The present study focuses on the valuation of the use of abaca (Musa textilis) in the textile industry of Ecuador, with the objective of examining its viability and being able to propose skills to take advantage of its benefits in the economic development of the country and for this reason through a mixed approach that combines both qualitative and quantitative analysis, the current applications of abaca were investigated, The research was based on a complete documentary review and analysis of statistical data on the production, export and demand of abaca, with the purpose of identifying opportunities and challenges for the industry, thus reflecting the results showed that abaca has a high potential as a raw material for the textile industry, especially in the manufacture of sustainable and ecological textiles. The importance of diversifying international markets and strengthening the local textile industry through the use of abaca fiber was highlighted. In addition several technological innovations were identified that could improve the quality and competitiveness of abaca-derived products, promoting their adoption in sectors such as eco-fashion and technical textiles. In view of this we would have to propose several recommendations to improve the competitiveness of the sector, such as the strengthening of public policies to promote the use of abaca fiber as a raw material.

El presente estudio se centraliza en la valoración del uso del abacá (Musa textilis) en la industria textil del Ecuador, con el objetivo de examinar su viable y poder proponer habilidades para aprovechar sus ventajas en el desarrollo económico del país y por este motivo a través de un enfoque mixto que combina tanto el análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo , se investigaron las aplicaciones actuales del abacá, las habilidades para fortificar su producción local y las políticas públicas necesarias para así incitar el sector y por esto la investigación se sustentó en una total revisión documental y análisis de datos estadísticos sobre la producción, exportación y demanda del abacá, con el propósito de identificar oportunidades y desafíos para la industria reflejando de esta manera los resultados mostraron que el abacá tiene un alto potencial como materia prima para la industria textil, especialmente en la fabricación de textiles sostenibles y ecológicos. Tenemos que destacar la importancia de diferenciar todos los mercados universales y fortificar la industria textil de nuestro país con el uso de la fibra de abacá. Al localizar las diversas ideas tecnológicas que llegaran a mejorar la calidad y la competitividad de todos los productos en el mercado y que estos fueron derivados del abacá donde se podría promover la adopción en los sectores de la moda ecológica y con textiles técnicos. Si tomamos en cuenta, tenemos que promover diversas sugerencias para poder mejorar la competencia del sector tales como el refuerzo de las políticas públicas, la economía de inversión en infraestructuras, tecnología y la capacitación de los productores con el propósito que el abacá este posicionada como un recurso clave en el desarrollo económico que sea sostenible en el país.
