In today's world, where demographic trends indicate an increase in life expectancy, the issues of preserving youth and healthy aging are becoming increasingly important. In this context, the role of nutritional science in the development of anti-aging strategies is of particular importance, as they are aimed at slowing down the aging process and improving the general condition of the body through comprehensive and scientifically based approaches to nutrition, physical activity and lifestyle. This article discusses the main aspects that nutritionists need to focus on in their work with clients - the role of a balanced diet enriched with essential vitamins, minerals, macro- and microelements that: form the basis for a healthy diet capable of slowing down aging processes at the cellular level; support optimal functioning of all body systems; prevent age-related diseases; improve metabolism, stimulate the immune system, increase stress resistance and reduce cognitive impairment. The need for regular physical activity and a healthy lifestyle as integral components of an effective strategy for prolonging youth has also been emphasized. The combination of these factors with proper nutrition can achieve significant results in slowing down the aging process and improving the quality of life throughout all stages of life. The presented recommendations can be used by nutritionists to develop individual anti-aging programs for their clients.
