Producția hibrizilor de porumb în dependență de grupa de maturitate în zona de centru a Republicii Moldova

The article represents the study of 18 corn hybrids from 6 maturity groups cultivated in the central area of the Republic of Moldova. Experimental research was carried out during the years 2022-2023, at the pre-competition nursery of the Genetics and Genofond laboratory. As a result, hybrids were obtained that differ depending on morphological characters, grain production, agroclimatic conditions and years of research. Each hybrid is characterized by a certain reaction to environmental conditions, it was found that agrometeorological conditions (average air temperature and atmospheric precipitation) were unfavorable for plant growth and development, during the research period, grain production in the experimental environment, in corn hybrids increased by 1.6 t/ha, in 2023 compared to 2022, correspondingly. It was determined that on average over 2 years of study, hybrids from the early (III), mid-term (IV) and semi-late (VI) maturity groups have increased productivity, compared to hybrids from the other maturity groups, highlighting the following hybrids: P328 – 5.58 t/ha; P21373 – 5.71 t/h; P21472 – 5.83 t/ha and the hybrid P22668 – 5.13 t/ha.
