Russian. В издании обобщены данные о деятельности Совета ботанических садов и дендрариев Беларуси по сохранению, изучению и практическому использованию биоразнообразия растений. Показано, что эффективное сохранение растений ex situ является одним из самых важных способов сохранения биоразнообразия среди тех, которые доступны ботаническим садам и дендрариям. Обсуждена перспективность всестороннего изучения генетического разнообразия, представленного в ботанических коллекциях. Приведены данные по составу коллекционных фондов ботанических садов и дендрариев Беларуси. Показана роль ЦБС НАН Беларуси как инициатора и активного участника создания Совета ботанических садов и дендрариев на республиканском уровне, а также на уровне стран СНГ. В ходе дискуссий на научных семинарах и в экспедициях определены общие цели совместной работы по выполнению задач Глобальной стратегии сохранения растений (ГССР). Приведены задачи финальной версии ГССР на 2023–2030 гг. Книга издана в рамках проведения Международного научного семинара с экспедиционным выездом «Стратегии и методы ботанических садов по сохранению и устойчивому использованию биологического разнообразия природной флоры – IХ», 8–12 июля 2024 г. Издание рассмотрено и одобрено на заседании Ученого совета ЦБС НАН Беларуси от 29 мая 2024 г., протокол № 8.

English. The publication summarizes data on the activities of the Council of Botanical Gardens and Arboretums of Belarus in the conservation, study and practical use of plant biodiversity. It is shown that effective conservation of plants ex situ is one of the most important ways to conserve biodiversity among those available to botanical gardens and arboretums. The prospects of a comprehensive study of the genetic diversity presented in botanical collections are discussed. Data on the composition of the collection funds of botanical gardens and arboretums of Belarus are provided. The role of the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus as an initiator and active participant in the creation of the Council of Botanical Gardens and Arboretums at the national level, as well as at the level of the CIS countries, is shown. During discussions at scientific seminars and expeditions, common goals of joint work to fulfill the objectives of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC) were identified. The objectives of the final version of the GSPC for 2023–2030 are presented. The book was published within the framework of the International Scientific Seminar with an Expeditionary Trip “Strategies and Methods of Botanical Gardens for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of the Biological Diversity of Natural Flora – IX”, July 8–12, 2024. The publication was reviewed and approved at a meeting of the Academic Council of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on May 29, 2024, protocol No. 8.
