As a result of long-term observations, it was found that the greatest effect on the beneficial effect of protective forest plantations on adjacent fields occurs when a full-fledged system is created, and it is in optimal condition. Forest strips should overlap each other's protective actions. Only in this case the desired protective and beneficial effect will be achieved. The system of protective forest stands (forest strips) makes it possible to reduce the influence of extreme natural and climatic factors on the agrobiocenosis, being a mechanical obstacle in the way of water and wind flows. In the Krasnodar Territory, it is important to protect fields in March, when dust storms are most common, and in June, during grain filling. During the ecological survey of agroecosystems, it is important to assess the correctness of the establishment of a system of forest belts as part of crop rotation. The system of forest strips is designed taking into account the agroforestry zone in which the research object is located, the direction of harmful winds and the terrain. After the creation of protective forest stands, maintenance work is required, as these are artificially created forest stands. Monitoring is required to clarify the work needed in the forest belts, and only on the basis of the results obtained is it possible to adopt an optimal plan. As a result of the research carried out, it was found that the black walnut is in good condition and optimally performs the function assigned to it as the main breed in the studied forest belt No. 1. When determining the type of structure, the studied forest strip is classified as an openwork one (No. 1). Protective forest stands will be able to perform the tasks assigned to them when taking care of them. For the forest strip No. 2, the type of structure is defined as non-drained. The forest strip No. 2 will not be able to perform the function assigned to it, it requires logging and maintenance.
