Energy conversion and balance of winter and summer crops in mixed production systems under no-tillage | Conversão e balanço energético de culturas de inverno e verão em sistemas de produção mistos sob plantio direto

English. Energy conversion and balance of winter and summer crops in mixed production systems, under no-tillage, were assessed from 1995 to 2000, in Passo Fundo, RS, Brazil. Six production systems were evaluated: system I (wheat/soybean, black oat + common vetch pasture/corn); system II (wheat/soybean, black oat + common vetch + ryegrass pasture/corn); system III (wheat/soybean, black oat + common vetch pasture/pearl millet pasture); system IV (wheat/soybean, black oat + common vetch + ryegrass pasture/pearl millet pasture); system V (wheat/soybean, white oat/soybean, and black oat + common vetch pasture/pearl millet pasture); and system VI (wheat/soybean, white oat/soybean, and black oat + common vetch + ryegrass pasture/pearl millet pasture). Treatments were replicated four times in a randomized block design. Corn was superior to other crops studied in terms of energy conversion and balance. White oat was the most effi cient species in energy conversion among the winter crops studied. Systems I and II presenred more positive energy conversion and balance. The mixed production systems (crops-livestock) under no tillage were found energy.

Portuguese. De 1995 a 2000, foram avaliados, a conversão energética e o balanço energético de culturas de inverno e de verão em sistemas de produção mistos, sob plantio direto, em Passo Fundo, RS. Os tratamentos consistiram em seis sistemas de produção de grãos integrados com pastagens anuais de inverno e de verão: sistema I (trigo/soja e pastagem de aveia preta + ervilhaca/milho); sistema II (trigo/soja e pastagem de aveia preta + ervilhaca + azevém/milho); sistema III (trigo/soja e pastagem de aveia preta + ervilhaca/pastagem de milheto); sistema IV (trigo/soja e pastagem de aveia preta + ervilhaca + azevém/pastagem de milheto); sistema V (trigo/soja, aveia branca/soja e pastagem de aveia preta + ervilhaca/pastagem de milheto); e sistema VI (trigo/soja, aveia branca/soja e pastagem de aveia preta + ervilhaca + azevém/pastagem de milheto). Os tratamentos foram repetidos quatro vezes no delineamento de blocos ao acaso. O milho foi superior às demais culturas estudadas quanto à conversão e ao balanço energético. Das culturas de inverno, a aveia branca foi a mais efi ciente na conversão de energia. Os sistemas I e II mostraram conversão e balanço energético mais positivos. Os sistemas mistos (lavoura-pecuária) sob plantio direto foram viáveis do ponto de vista energético.
