"La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la influencia de la temperatura y de la humedad relativa en el desarrollo del pseudotecio y en la maduración y liberación de ascosporas de Venturia inaequalis. De 1986 a 1988, se muestrearon hojas de manzano que presentaban los sintomas típicos de la enfermedad, se colocaron en fijador FAD, se llevaron por un proceso de deshi- dratación e inclusión en parafina para realizar cortes al microtomo, con los que se elaboraron laminillas para la identificación del estado de desarrollo del pseu- dotecio. Las bajas temperaturas, al inicio del desarrollo del pseudotecio, determi- nan el número de ascas que se forman. En cambio, para que tenga lugar la li- beración de las ascosporas es necesario que exista una temperatura de 16-18°C con una alta humedad relativa. "

From 1986 to 1988, leaves of apple trees showing the typical symptoms of the disease were sampled, placed in FAD fixative, and subjected to a dehydration process and embedding in paraffin to make sections for microscopy, from which slides were prepared for identifying the developmental stage of the pseudothecium. Low temperatures at the beginning of the development of the pseudothecium determine the number of asci that are formed. In contrast, for the release of ascospores to take place, a temperature of 16-18°C with high relative humidity is necessary."
