Investigation of the Effect of Cadmium Application on Forage Quality Characteristics of Some Grain Sorghum Varieties | Kadmiyum (Cd) Uygulamasının Bazı Tane Sorgum Çeşitlerinin Yem Kalite Özellikleri Üzerine Etkisinin Araştırılması

This research was carried out under greenhouse conditions in order to examine the effect of cadmium (Cd) application (0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125 mg kg-1) on forage quality characteristics in some sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) varieties. In this study; Three different sorghum types obtained from BATEM were used as plant material (Akdari, Beydari ve Ogretmenoglu). The study has been completed according to the splite plot experimental design (3 varieties x 1 element x 6 doses x 3 replication). At the end of the growth period (130-day), tannin ratio, crude protein content ratio, oil ratio, ADF (acid detergent fiber), NDF (neutral detergent fiber), DDM (digestible dry matter), DMI (dry matter intake) and RFV (relative feed value) ratios were examined. According to the study, the properties of cadmium were examined in terms of variety x dose interaction; tannin content, oil content, NDF (neutral detergent fiber), DMC (dry matter consumption) and RFV (relative feed value) (P <0.01); protein ratio, ADF (acid detergent fiber), DDM (digestible dry matter) (P<0.05) were statistically significant differences. Grain sorghum varieties were affected by cadmium stress and changes in forage quality characteristics were observed depending on the dose increase.

Bu araştırma, bazı tane sorgum (Sorghum bicolor L.) çeşitlerinde kadmiyum (Cd) uygulamasının (0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125 mg kg-1) yem kalite özelliklerine olan etkisini incelemek amacıyla sera koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada; Batı Akdeniz Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü’nden temin edilen üç farklı tane sorgum çeşidi (Akdarı, Beydarı ve Öğretmenoğlu) bitkisel materyal olarak kullanılmıştır. Deneme bölünmüş parseller deneme desenine (3 çeşit x 1 element x 6 doz x 3 tekerrür) göre kurulmuştur. 130 günlük büyüme periyodu sonunda bitkilerin tanelerinde; tanen oranı, ham protein oranı, yağ oranı, ADF (asit deterjanda çözünmeyen lif), NDF (nötral deterjanda çözünmeyen lif), SKM (sindirilebilir kuru madde), KMT (kuru madde tüketimi) oranları ve NYD (nispi yem değeri) incelenmiştir. Tanen, yağ, NDF (nötral deterjanda çözünmeyen lif), KMT (kuru madde tüketimi) oranları ve NYD (nispi yem değeri) (P<0.01); ham protein oranı, ADF (asit deterjanda çözünmeyen lif), SKM (sindirilebilir kuru madde) oranları (P<0.05) özelliklerinde çeşit x doz interaksiyonu istatistiki olarak farklı bulunmuştur. Tane sorgum çeşitleri uygulanan kadmiyum stresinden etkilenmiş ve doz artışına bağlı olarak yem kalite özelliklerinde değişimler gözlemlenmiştir.
