Use of GIS in Renewable Energy Systems; Compliance Analysis of Bingöl Province SPP (Solar Plant Power) Areas

In this study, suitable areas for SPP (Solar Plant Power) constructions in Bingöl province were mapped using GIS (Geographical Information Systems), AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and weighted sum methods. While mapping, the main criteria of distance to rivers, CORINE land use, aspect groups, slope groups, distance to power transmission lines, distance to fault lines, geological formation, solar radiation index, distance to settlements and distance to roads were used and the study was completed with 77 sub-criteria produced from these.
