Productive teaching and research university unit based on renewable sources of energy | Unidad universitaria productiva docente e investigativa basada en fuentes renovables de energía

The present investigative work arises from the necessary use of renewable energy sources in the country, with the purpose of eliminating the energy matrix due to the consumption of fossil fuel and to improve the quality of the teaching and research process, at the University of Pinar del Río, “Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca”. An investigation was carried out using theoretical and empirical methods on electricity consumption and money paid by the entity in 20 years and the characteristics of the photovoltaic installations. Likewise, university teaching units were investigated. To constitute a Productive, Teaching and Research University Unit, with the installation of 240 photovoltaic panels, is to constitute a laboratory in constant operation, making contributions on topics related to: energy efficiency, rational use of energy, meteorological variables, the environment, maintenance regimes for photovoltaic installations and preparation for the country's defense. The scientific problem to be solved is, due to the need for a productive, teaching and research unit, with the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the teacher of the “Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca” headquarters, of the University of Pinar del Río, which contribute to the change of the matrix in electricity generation, the quality of teaching and research. It must be interpreted that the intention is to inject energy directly into the national electro-energy system network and the creation of a teaching and research laboratory.

El presente trabajo investigativo, surge a partir de la necesaria utilización de las fuentes renovables de energía en el país, con la finalidad de ir eliminando, la matriz energética por el consumo de combustible fósil y por el mejoramiento de la calidad del proceso docente e investigativo, en la Universidad de Pinar del Río, “Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca”. Se efectuó una investigación utilizando métodos teóricos y empíricos sobre el consumo eléctrico y dinero pagado por la entidad en 20 años y las características de las instalaciones fotovoltaicas. De igual manera, se investigó acerca de las unidades docentes universitarias. Constituir una Unidad Universitaria Productiva, Docente e Investigativa, con la instalación de 240 paneles fotovoltaicos, es constituir un laboratorio en constante funcionamiento, realizando aportes en temáticas relacionadas con: la eficiencia energética, el uso racional de la energía, las variables meteorológicas, el medio ambiente, los regímenes de mantenimiento de las instalaciones fotovoltaicas y la preparación para la defensa del país. El problema científico a resolver es, por la Necesidad de una unidad productiva, docente e investigativa, con la instalación de paneles fotovoltaicos en el techo del docente de la sede “Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca”, de la Universidad de Pinar del Río, que contribuya con el cambio de la matriz en la generación eléctrica, la calidad de la docencia y la investigación. Se debe interpretar que la intención es que se inyecte energía directamente a la red del sistema electro energético nacional y la creación de un laboratorio docente y de investigación.
