En la Estación Experimental del Tabaco de San Juan y Martínez en el período 2005 _ 2007, se realizó una investigación con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de diferentes distancias entre plantas en algunos indicadores biológicos y físicos del tabaco negro variedad "Corojo 2006" bajo tela, se estudiaron cuatro tratamientos distribuidos en bloques al azar con cinco repeticiones (0,30 m; 0,35 m; 0,40 m; 0,45 m). Se realizaron las siguientes evaluaciones: la altura y diámetro del tallo, la longitud, la anchura, la masa fresca, la masa seca, el peso de la vena principal y secundaria de la hoja central de la planta; además de los parámetros físicos: elasticidad y combustibilidad. Los resultados alcanzados demuestran que un aumento de la distancia de plantación posee un efecto significativo sobre las variables evaluadas, tales como un incremento de los valores con la excepción de la altura del tallo, mientras que la combustibilidad de la hoja no se afectó con las variaciones de distancia entre plantas.

In the Tobacco Experimental Station in San Juan and Martinez in the period 2005 - 2007, was carried out an investigation with the objective of evaluating the effect of different spacing plants in some biological and physical indicators of the dark tobacco black variety "Corojo 2006" shade grown, four treatments were studied distributed at random in blocks with five repetitions (0,30 m; 0,35 m; 0,40 m; 0,45 m). They were carried out the following evaluations: the height and diameter of the shaft, the longitude, the width, the fresh and dry mass, the weight of the main and secondary vein of the central leaf of the plant; besides the physical parameters: elasticity and combustibility. The reached results demonstrate that an increase of the plantation distance possesses a significant effect on the evaluated variables, such as an increment of the values with the exception of the height of the shaft, while the combustibility of the leaf was not affected with the distance variations among plants.
