Milk quality of cows depending on fat-synthesizing function of the mammary gland

Dynamics of absorption and excretion of the main metabolites of lipid metabolism by tissues of the mammary gland of cows has specific dynamics. The results of the conducted studies indicate that fat-synthesizing function of mammary gland tissues in the period of lactation completion is accompanied by accumulation of the total fraction of phospholipids and triacylglycerols in mammary gland tissues. And to a greater extent this process occurs during the dry period. Fat accumulative function of mammary gland of cows significantly depends on feeding conditions and duration of dry period. It has been established that the decrease in the duration of dry period up to 45 days reduces the fat-synthesizing function of mammary gland tissues of cows during lactation. The established general regularity of increase in absorption of metabolites of lipid metabolism by mammary gland tissues of cows during the dry period is probably one of the mechanisms that suppresses the functional activity of mammary gland alveoli before the end of lactation and provides accumulation of fats in tissues for their further excretion in the lactation period.
