The article gives a review of machines and equipment for nut harvesting, within the framework of which the existing technologies of nut harvesting and the main design schemes of machines and equipment for nut harvesting were studied with presentation of their classification and main characteristics. Advantages and disadvantages of existing technologies and machines for nut harvesting were identified. This review gives the opportunity to identify the main directions of improvement of the design of machines for harvesting nut crops in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova, and on the basis of the given analysis the main criteria of their classification were established. The main and perspective constructive schemes for improvement and further research of machines and equipment for nut harvesting were identified. The article presents the analysis of the main working bodies of shakers and reveals the problems related to the mechanised harvesting of nut crops.
