Reigniting Empowerment of Tribal Women in Suriname through Engagement in Transformative Technology -Phase II
2024
This project, based in Suriname, aims to build on a previous phase by introducing and piloting agricultural technologies and innovations that support tribal women farmers, particularly those involved in the cassava value chain. Implemented through the Wi! Uma Fu Sranan cooperative, it focuses on creating new models of crop production and product development with a strong emphasis on gender and diversity. Funded by the IDB Lab (Inter-American Development Bank’s Multilateral Investment Fund), the initiative seeks to reset and strengthen the livelihoods of indigenous women through transformative technology.
