Efeito de fungicidas no tratamento de sementes de milho sobre Penicillium spp. E Fusarium verticillioides | Effect of fungicides on corn seed treatment on Penicillium spp. and Fusarium verticillioides

Corn is a cereal that holds great importance for Brazilian agriculture. In seed treatment with fungicides and insecticides, it is a tool used to control pests and ensure an initial plant stand. Other products can also be added to improve seed germination and vigor, such as micronutrients. Considering organic corn production, there is a lack of alternatives for seed treatment since the use of agricultural pesticides and traditional inputs is not allowed. Corn experiments were conducted in the laboratory and greenhouse of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences at the Federal University of Uberlândia, in Uberlândia-MG, under the natural presence of pathogens in the years 2021. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of fungicides on storage fungi Penicillium spp. and Fusarium spp. in corn cultivars. The cultivars used were 950 420 VIP3, ADV 19 201, and ADV 9633 VT2P. The treatments with different concentrations of active ingredient, formulations, and doses per 100kg of seeds were 12, plus one control treatment: T1- Adago (vegetable extract), T2 - Biofac (fungal fermented product), T3- Pirolenhoso (carboxylic acid), T5 - Evolution (strobilurins (azoxystrobin), dithiocarbamate, (mancozeb), and triazolinthione (prothioconazole)), T6 - Fezangold (tebuconazole + chlorothalonil), T7 - Fox (prothioconazole + trifloxystrobin), T8 - Previnil - (chlorothalonil), T9 - Redigo (prothioconazole), T10 - Score (Difenoconazole), T11 - Serenade (Bacillus subtilis strain QST 714), T12 - Versatilis (fenpropimorph), T13 - Control. The data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance, with Scott-Knott mean comparison test according to the ANOVA result. The systemic chemical treatments showed greater efficacy.

O milho é um cereal que tem grande importância para a agricultura brasileira. No tratamento de sementes com fungicidas e inseticidas é uma ferramenta utilizada para controlar pragas e garantir estande inicial de plantas, bem como podem ser adicionados outros produtos para melhorar a germinação e vigor de sementes, como os micronutrientes. Considerando a produção orgânica de milho, há falta de alternativas para o tratamento de sementes, uma vez que, não é permitido o uso de defensivos agrícolas e insumos tradicionais. Os experimentos de milho foram realizados em laboratório; na casa de vegetação do Instituto de Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, em Uberlândia-MG, sob presença natural de patógenos, nos anos de 2021. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito dos fungicidas sobre os fungos de armazenamento Penicillium spp. e Fusarium spp nas cultivares de milho. As cultivares utilizadas foram 950 420 VIP3, ADV 19 201 e ADV 9633 VT2P. Os tratamentos com diferentes concentrações de ingrediente ativo, formulações e doses para 100kg de sementes foram 12 mais uma testemunha: Tratamentos: T1- Adago (extrato de vegetais), T2 – Biofac (fermentado fungico); T3- Pirolenhoso (ácido carboxílico); T 5 – Evolution (estrobirulinas (azoxistrobina), alquilenobis (ditiocarbamato), (mancozebe) e triazolintiona (protioconazol); T6 – Fezangold (tebuconazole + clorotalonil); T7 – Fox ( protioconazol + trifloxistrobina); T8 – Previnil – (clorotalonil); T9 –Redigo (Protioconazole); T10 –Score (Difenoconazol); T11- Serenade (bacillus subitilis linhagem qst 714); T12- Versatilis (Fenpropimorfe); T13- Testemunha. Os dados obtidos foram submetidos a análise de variância, com teste de médias de Scott-Knott conforme o resultado da ANOVA. Os fungicidas foram aplicados misturando-se cada produto com 100Kg-1 de sementes dentro de um saco de plástico e agitando-o manualmente por cinco minutos. Os tratamentos químicos sistêmicos apresentaram maior eficácia.
