Performance of two broilers commercial lines reared in different housing systems. | Desempenho de duas linhagens comerciais de frangos de corte criadas em diferentes tipos de alojamentos

This experiment was carried out in order to evaluate the ration consumption (RC), weight gain (WG), feed conversion (FC), productive efficiency index (PEI) and production per unit of area (PUA) in the periods: I (1-28 days), II (29-45 days) and Total (1-45 days) as well as viability (V) in the periods I and II, of two broilers commercial lines (Arbor Acres (A) and Hubbard (H)) reared in three housing systems (1-box; 2-metalic batteries and 3 - barn) in 2x3 factorial scheme. The stocking densities utilized were 12 chicks/m2. Four hundred sixty eight chicks were used in a randomized design. Commercial ration was given containing 22 and 19% of crude protein in the periods I and II, respectively. The different lines had significant effects on RC in periods I, II and Total, with the highest mean observed for the line H. The WG, PEI and PUA, in periods I and Total were influenced by different lines, with the lowest means for line A. The different housing systems influenced significantly the RC and WG in periods I, II and Total. The FC means, in periods I and Total, and PEI and PUA were significantly influenced by the housing systems. The interaction of line x housing systems had no significant effects on all studied characteristics.

Este experimento foi conduzido com o objetivo de avaliar o consumo de ração (CR), ganho de peso (GP), conversão alimentar (CA), índice de eficiência produtiva (IEP) e produção por unidade de área (PUA) em três períodos: I (1-28 dias), II (29-45 dias) e Total (1-45 dias), e viabilidade nos períodos I e II, de duas linhagens comerciais de frangos de corte (Arbor Acres (A) e Hubbard (H)) criadas em 3 tipos de alojamentos (1-Boxes; 2-Baterias Metálicas e 3-Barracão), em um esquema fatorial 2x3. Em todos os alojamentos a densidade foi de 12 aves/m2. Foram utilizadas 468 aves alimentadas com ração comercial contendo 22% e 19% de Proteína Bruta nos períodos I e II, respectivamente. Houve influência significativa das linhagens sobre o CR nos três períodos estudados com as maiores médias sendo observadas para a linhagem H. O GP, IEP e PUA, nos períodos I e Total também foram afetados pelas diferenças entre linhagens, sendo as médias da linhagem A significativamente inferiores às médias da linhagem H. Os diferentes tipos de alojamento influenciaram significativamente o CR e o GP nos períodos I, II e Total. As características CA nos períodos I e Total, e IEP e PUA também foram significativamente influenciadas pelos diferentes tipos de alojamento. As interações linhagens x alojamentos não influíram significativamente sobre nenhuma das características estudadas.
