English. During the consultation on the renewal of the concession of the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône, which took place in 2019, the project to build a hydroelectric dam was announced. The dam, called Rhônergia, the dam would be built in the commune of Saint-Romains-de-Jalionas in the Isère region. The dam would affect a section of the river that has not yet been developed, making it the last viable and current section of the entire stretch. The project we are proposing was developed during the consultation period in order to understand the links that could unite riverside inhabitants with the river in this so far little studied section. The aim was to identify the uses that might have disappeared or changed with the construction of the dam. An approach combining two scientific disciplines, ethnology and ecology, and a complementary methodology using photography, was developed to: 1) list the different uses of the river; 2) locate them in relation to the affected river sites; and 3) create a sensitive trace of them through photography. The results show forms of attachment to the river in this sector, linked to different practices.

Lors de la concertation relative à la prolongation de la concession de la Compagnie Nationale du Rhône, qui a eu lieu en 2019, le projet de construction d’un barrage hydro-électrique a été annoncé. Appelé Rhônergia, ce barrage devait prendre place sur le périmètre de la commune iséroise de Saint-Romains-de-Jalionas. Ce barrage concernait un secteur du fleuve qui jusqu’alors ne fait pas l’objet d’un aménagement et reste, à ce titre, le dernier secteur vif et courant de l’ensemble du linéaire. Le projet que nous proposons de présenter a été élaboré lors de la période de concertation pour comprendre quels liens pouvaient unir les riverains au fleuve, dans cette partie peu étudiée jusqu’alors. Il s’agissait de répertorier des usages qui auraient pu disparaître ou se transformer avec l’aménagement du barrage. Une approche croisant deux disciplines scientifiques, l’ethnologie et l’écologie et une méthodologie complémentaire par la photographie a été élaborée pour : 1) recenser les différents usages du fleuve ;2) les situer par rapport aux sites fluviaux concernés et 3) en produire une trace sensible au travers de la photographie. Les résultats montrent des formes d’attachement au fleuve dans ce secteur, en lien avec diverses pratiques.
