Keys to individual taxa are included. Phytogeographic speculations on the origin of the genus are presented. A chemical investigation on essential oils is indicated, and chromatograms of representative species are included. Maps of geographic distribution and morphological aspects of leaves, corollas and calyces are illustrated.
