Development of Male Sterile Green Chili Lines by Backcross Method | การพัฒนาสายพันธุ์พริกหนุ่มเขียวเพศผู้เป็นหมันโดยวิธีการผสมกลับ

English. This experiment focus on development of green chili lines which is male sterile by backcross method of chili varieties CA1445 and CA1450. They were crossed with male sterile varieties KY16 and PP32. The study revealed that prospective genotypes, CA1445 and CA1450 varieties, were maintainer and stable. It was found that the F1 hybrid (KY16BC3F1CA1445 x CA1448) gave the highest yield and fruit weight per plant. The second high yielding varieties were F1 hybrid (KY16BC3F1CA1450 × CA1448) and commercial variety (MAEPING 80). Yields of the three varieties were not significantly different. The yields of these varieties were significantly difference from others F1 hybrids, the female parents, and male parents. However; they were not significantly different from the female parent CA1447 and commercial variety (JAKRAPAT). The female parent KY16BC3F1CA1450, KY16BC3F1CA1445, PP32BC3F1CA1450 and PP32BC3F1CA1445 showed positive and significantly different of general combining ability for fruit number per plant, fruit weight, fruit length and fruit width. The male parent CA1447, CA1448 and CA1449 showed positive and significantly different of general combining ability for fruit number per plant, yield, fruit weight per plant and fruit length.  Many of F1 hybrids exhibited positive significantly different heterosis for yield, number per plant, fruit weight, fruit width, and fruit length. The F1 hybrids, KY16BC3F1CA1445 × CA1448 and PP32BC3F1CA1445 × CA1448 could be used in the future for the F1 hybrid development program.

Thai. งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งที่พัฒนาสายพันธุ์พริกหนุ่มเขียวเพศผู้เป็นหมันโดยวิธีการผสมกลับ ระหว่างพันธุ์รักษาเพศผู้เป็นหมัน พันธุ์ CA1450 และ CA1445 กับแม่พันธุ์เพศผู้เป็นหมัน พันธุ์ KY16 และ PP32  จากการตรวจสอบความมีชีวิตของเรณู พบว่า พันธุ์ CA1450 และ CA1445 มีพันธุกรรมแบบพันธุ์รักษาเพศผู้เป็นหมันและมีความเสถียร  จากการศึกษาพบว่า ลูกผสมชั่วที่ 1 KY16BC3F1CA1445 × CA1448 มีแนวโน้มให้ผลผลิตและน้ำหนักผลต่อต้นสูงสุด รองลงมาคือ ลูกผสมชั่วที่ 1 KY16BC3F1CA1450 × CA1448 และพันธุ์แม่ปิง 80 ทั้งสามพันธุ์ให้ผลผลิต ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติกับลูกผสมส่วนใหญ่ แม่พันธุ์ทั้งหมดและพ่อพันธุ์ส่วนใหญ่ แต่ไม่มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติกับพ่อพันธุ์ CA1447 และพันธุ์จักรพรรดิ  แม่พันธุ์ KY16BC3F1CA1450, KY16BC3F1CA1445, PP32BC3F1CA1450 และPP32BC3F1CA1445 มีความสามารถในการรวมตัวทั่วไปมีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติในทางบวกของจำนวนผลต่อต้น น้ำหนักผล ความยาวผล และความกว้างพ่อพันธุ์ CA1447, CA1448 และ CA1449 มีความสามารถในการรวมตัวทั่วไปมีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติในทางบวกของจำนวนผลต่อต้น ผลผลิต น้ำหนักผลต่อต้น  และความยาวผล  ลูกผสมบางคู่ที่ได้จากพ่อแม่พันธุ์เหล่านี้ยังมีความสามารถในการรวมตัวเฉพาะเจาะจงแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติในทางบวกของผลผลิต จำนวนผลต่อต้นและน้ำหนักผลเฉลี่ย  ลูกผสมส่วนใหญ่แสดงความดีเด่นของลูกผสมที่เหนือกว่าค่าเฉลี่ยของพ่อแม่มีความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติในทางบวกของผลผลิต จำนวนผลต่อต้น น้ำหนักผลความกว้างผล และความยาวผล  ลูกผสมชั่วที่ 1 KY16BC3F1CA1445 × CA1448 และ PP32BC3F11445 × CA1448 เหมาะสำหรับใช้เป็นพันธุ์พริกลูกผสม
